New & Improved
Forward Stride Stables
was originally built in 1994.
The property is gated and fenced to maximize safety and security. Our facilities boast 48 – 12 ft x 12 ft rubber matted stalls with individual fans in a well ventilated, heated building. The covered walkway from the barn to the indoor ring provides protection from the elements. Our heated indoor arena measures 80 ft x 200 ft. The footing is a sand/GGT mix on a limestone base and a dust free additive. We are picky about footing therefore we have the indoor footing leveled and maintained regularly. The outdoor arena measures 120 ft x 250 ft and has a limestone base with traditional sand footing designed to obtain optimal drainage for relatively quick use after rain. The outdoor footing also gets maintenance regularly. A nice limestone path from the barn provides an opportunity for a peaceful stroll to the outdoor arena. Both arenas are stocked with a large variety of jumps and teaching aids for trainers and clinicians to use.
The barn contains two wash racks with hot and cold water, heated tack room with individual lockers, laundry facilities, and a heated feed room. Outside turnout areas consist of 4 large grass pastures, 9 smaller individual grass turnouts and 16 limestone based all-weather paddocks. High quality hay is stored in a separate, conveniently located storage building. High quality, low dust bedding is used in every stall. A Theraplate is available for use with a fee.
The comfortable, updated viewing room has a full wall of windows for individuals to observe lessons and rides, a kitchenette, fireplace, men’s and women’s restrooms and a shower.
